Around here, only in spring does green define a season. Along with wilting wildflowers, gold is invading grasses in the open areas, which we have in abundance on hillsides.
July means heat, so the process will accelerate.
In the forests, green remains.

Yesterday, I in search of Hayes Creek. I found it. There wasnt much to it. There was a bridge, but I couldve stepped over it.
I also had an Indiana Jones moment.
Once home, I returned to editing to finish the day.

To say our drought continues is to grossly understate the situation. Weve just emerged from our rainy season having received but a fraction of the expected rainagain.
No wonder Im becoming a prune.

Ive started using my editing system on Book-4, something Ill be working on for most, if not all, of the summer.
Our temperatures are returning to normal, which means dry & mild. In other words, ideal.
Soon, very soon, I need to embark on a hike.

Yesterday was an eclectic assortment of tasks as I finished the scan on a novella and setup to use my editing system on Book-4.
It was also cold, the temperature uncomfortably close to freezing on my morning walk. Later today, a warming trend begins.

The weather has taken a sudden turn. Its much cooler today & moments ago started raining.
Im going to be grateful & enjoy it while it lasts. Soon enough, dry conditions will endure.

The novel scan continues, but I could finish it by days end. Ill probably then do the same to the novella thats to accompany that novel.
Its past time to replace the tube on my bikes rear wheel. I dont ride it often, but its nice to have it available.
