Good day!
Yesterday did provide me a nice walk in the rain in the morning.
For the quasi lazy day, I took a look at particular issues with other books, & have a great draft of a blurb for Book2.
No wonder I havent hiked in May before. Its windy, muddy, & cold.

Good day!
Here in the mountains, even now, winter has moments when it whispers that it wont be gone for long.
Then it dusts the peaks white again & retreats.
Ive decided to release my next book in June, so I guess that I, too, will return.

in today's ride, I forgot to recharge the ebike so I rode about 13km on a hilly route with less than 20% of battery, so I suffered the steep climbs 'cause the weight of my ebike is more than my other traditional bike, but even so, I really enjoyed the trails as always.

Good day!
Another big step is complete on the way to publishing Book2. A lot of little tasks remain, none of which take long, except maybe the blurb, which is started.
Time to take care of chores, but first a walk on a cool morning. Yesterdays rainy walk was glorious.

Good day!
Sometimes, on a hike, you find the strangest things. I found this old car (1930s-40s) fairly high on Blue Mountain, no present day roads close.
It was fascinating & creepy, a strange vibe in the gully there.
Meanwhile, this day-3 of rain & cold temps. I love walking in it.

This tree knew what it wanted to do & did it, even if it took longer.
Publishing at my age, I guess that makes me a bent tree thats still growing.

Good day!
I took this yesterday on my morning walk behind where I live. There were 3 deer in total, the other two much farther away.
Loud noises had scared the poor animal, & then I showed up. So, I knelt, which seemed to reassure it.
After it walked past me I took the picture.

Good day!
Im flying through the Book2 chapters, but the bigger excitement for me is seeing how my editing has drastically improved.
Take that, junior high English!
Two days ago it was 82F (27.8C). Now 60F (15.6C) for the high, w/rain. Cooler & wetter tomorrow.

Good day!
My progress on this book is surprising even me. Welcome surprises are always, well, welcome.
Peace, Ive discovered, isnt a surprise, nor is it an external possession I can hold onto.
I create it within, because thats all I can control.

Thanks for sharing this! We've had a research project investigating practices and options for maintenance of complete streets elements. We expect to have a research report published in the next few months. I'm sharing this with the team working on that.

Good day!
I started the final, pre-publishing review of Book2 yesterday & made insanely great headway.
All the time Ive spent editing is paying dividends at this stage.
Also insane is how warm its been. Thats about to change. Maybe with rain. What a novelty.

Good day!
I think I slept about half of yesterday & might as well have slept the other half. Yeah, pretty sure.
After a week of meager sleep, I feel alive again. Now, its (past) time to start the final check of Book2 before publishing.

Good day!
An eclectic day awaits since the Book2 read-thru is complete.
I absolutely need to clean. My writing projects come at the expense of most everything else.
Beyond that, theres my writing journal, a preliminary blurb for Book2, & other neglected tasks.

Home for over a decade now, which is a long time for me.
I love the climate & outdoors, especially the rivers & mountains, which are more accessible than anywhere Ive lived.
Yet, my life here feels tenuous, like another chapter is waiting
