I went on an extra long walk yesterday morning to finish the month.
Another chilly night. Its like a drug when I sleep. It was also the first night this autumn when Evie Cat wanted beneath the covers.

When I hike locally these days, there are connections everywhere, like hiking a ridge, having the trees part, & discovering this view.
Two months ago, I stood atop that distant peak, otherwise known as Woody Mtn..
It makes me feel less alone.

Good morning from Mt. Molly in New Durham, NH. Todays weather was gorgeous for hiking and I managed to go 6.7 km in just under two hours.
The trails I was on were densely wooded with a lot of small, young trees and plenty of rocks on and off the path. I saw at least 4 different kinds of moss, and a fallen birch tree that had some mushroom cups on it.

I pushed hard yesterday & revised a long, emotionally draining chapter. This morning, Ill grab groceries & then do the same.

Nine miles (14.5K). Then I revised.

Really poor nights sleep last night
We had an unusually warm spring, cool summer, & now were unusually warm heading into autumn.
Its like we have one temperature no matter the season. I am, though, noticing the days becoming shorter, my walks dimmer.
